Shaolin monks and elite UFC fighters are both capable fighters. Yet, one of them will win if they were to battle. Let’s see who it is.

Although Shaolin monks are incredible fighters, a UFC fighter is most likely to win because he’s more capable of adapting to any opponent. As a result, he’ll manage to counter the monk’s techniques and moves. For instance, he’ll use techniques from different martial arts, such as Judo and Boxing.

Yet, there’s more to it. Because Shaolin monks are capable, solid combatants, beating them will be challenging. That said, let’s dive into what makes each person powerful. Consequently, we’ll differentiate between the two to a better degree.

Before jumping in, I wrote an article on the deadliest martial arts in the world. I highly encourage you to read it as it provides incredible value that correlates with this article.

What makes a Shaolin monk powerful?

The essence of martial arts is self-defense. Karate first began in Okinawa island because the people needed to find a way to defend themselves. As a result, they constructed a fighting style now known as Karate.

Shaolin monks are solid fighters because their sole purpose in life is to follow the life of a martial artist. As a result, their capabilities in the fighting realm are extensive. For instance, every Shaolin monk has trained in martial arts for a few years. Thus they’re capable of fighting.

Furthermore, the fighting style such monks practice is Kung Fu. Precisely, Shaolin Kung fu. Such a martial art is a show of skills. A capable individual can use it for many different purposes.

First, one can use Kung fu as a meditation form. Well, how is that going to help? Essentially, if one can practice the basic moves of martial art while performing aspects that resemble meditation, he’ll highly benefit from the process.

Now, when you repeat the same techniques and moves every day, you’ll improve quickly. As a result, one can relate the monks’ success with fighting- to the trainingIf you’ve witnessed such an individual, you’ll understand what I mean.

I’ll include a 45 minutes video that shows some of the basic Shaolin Kung fu moves and techniques.

A Shaolin monk is calm, precise, stress-free, highly capable, and well trained. As a result, when discussing fighting, they’re solid. They’re familiar with everything they need to know about it. As a result, they can use the techniques and moves to such a degree that it becomes deadly.

What makes a UFC fighter powerful?

If you’ve read an article of mine on the best martial arts for street fights, you already know the answer. I’ve ranked MMA or mixed martial arts as the best fighting style for street fights. If you haven’t read it yet, I recommend you do.

A UFC fighter is dynamic, highly qualified, and knows how to adapt to every opponent. As a result, he’s highly effective in fighting in general. Additionally, many UFC fighters have a background in a few martial arts. Hence they can combine two techniques to create a better style.

“The best fighter is not a Boxer, Karate, or Judo man. The best fighter is someone who can adapt to any style. He kicks too good for a Boxer, throws too good for a Karate man, and punches too good for a Judo man.” Bruce Lee

As you may know, Bruce Lee is the artist who brought martial arts to the world’s attention. Eventually, he constructed his style and created Jeet Kune Do, which many UFC fighters use to dominate their opponents. It forms a series of dynamic techniques people don’t expect. Thus they work well in such realms.

Jeet Kune Do is an example of martial art that its practitioners can adapt to many situations. As a result, they have a more manageable time beating opponents. Because of that, Jeet Kune Do is as powerful as it is.

Today, many UFC fighters use a few techniques from various martial arts to create a better fighting styleI highly encourage you to check out these UFC gloves, as they’re the best available for their price. Let’s continue with the article.

I’ll include a video that shows a series of creative moves UFC fighters used in real fights to dominate their opponents.

Why the UFC fighter would win

As I’ve previously mentioned, the UFC fighter is the most dynamic combatant. As a result, he can adapt to all situations to dominate his opponent. For instance, while using a Judo move can assist you in winning one fight, a Jiu-Jitsu technique may help you win another. As a result, knowing both to a high degree is an incredible skill set.

The UFC fighter would win against the Shaolin monk because he’s more comprehensive. As a result, he can adapt every move or technique the Shaolin monk tries. For instance, if the monk lets his guard down, the UFC fighter can use grappling techniques; to submit the monk eventually.

Again, the MMA fighter is dynamic. Hence if he’s familiar with the Shaolin monk’s techniques, he’ll be able to adapt quickly. Therefore, dominating the monk will become more manageable.

Additionally, you spar dozens of times in MMA training. As a result, the practitioners will be more capable of getting hit. As a result, they’ll be more solid fighters. In a fight, if you’re scared of getting hit, you won’t be able to win because to punch someone, you must be ready to receive a punch.

Although the monks have trained in martial arts for many years, someone who learns how to fight using martial arts will be more capable of doing that action. Because of that, many UFC elite fighters are highly capable of fighting. Yet, Shaolin monks are using martial arts- as a form of meditation and studying the inner body.

The last thing I’m doing is disrespecting the Shaolin monks. These individuals are capable and have studied martial arts for many years now. Because of that, there isn’t a single part of my body that will tell you that they don’t know how to fight; because they do. We can learn plenty from their lifestyle and mindset towards life as a whole.

Conclusion

A Shaolin monk and a UFC fighter are both capable individuals. As a result, both can use the techniques and skillsets to defeat their opponent. Yet, one would come out on top.

Most likely, the UFC fighter would win for a prominent reason. While the Shaolin monk has a few techniques he mastered, the UFC fighter is an all-around fighter. Some can pin like a Judo man and punch like a Boxer man. As a result, the UFC fighter is highly capable of adapting.

Because of that, there’s no doubt in my mind that elite UFC fighters are highly qualified and talented individuals. They can use many techniques from different fighting styles. Thus they can adapt to the opponent and use the element of surprise. Yet, the Shaolin monk has a few moves.

To further understand my points in this article, I wrote a post about why everyone should learn martial arts. In the article, I explain some of the concepts you should know- about these fighting styles. I highly recommend you read it.
